Application:
Sodium bromide powder is a widely used compound. It is used as a sedative in medicine and is also an important raw material for the production of other bromine compounds and pharmaceutical intermediates. When used in combination with chlorine, sodium bromide can be used as a disinfectant for hot tubs and swimming pools. Due to its high solubility in water, sodium bromide is used in the petroleum industry to prepare high-density drilling fluids. The high-density characteristics of sodium bromide solution make it an ideal fluid for drilling and completion operations, helping to prevent formation fluids from entering the wellbore and stabilize the formation, thereby improving drilling and completion efficiency.
